Health Flu Vaccine Information
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends
that people in the following situations seriously consider getting
a seasonal flu shot every year:
- Have
a chronic (ongoing) illness
- Have
regular contact with children less than 6 months old
- Children
6 to 59 months old
- Are
65 years or older
- Will
be pregnant during the flu season
Additionally,
Campus Health encourages all students living in the residence halls
or in Greek housing to consider getting a flu shot since living
in close quarters may put those individuals at higher risk for influenza.
